Health Certificate Approval – New Flights to Zürich – Parking at London City Airport
London City Airport has become the second UK airport to be awarded with certification from the Airports Council International Airport Health Accreditation programme. Due to the pandemic, the accolade was introduced to recognise airports throughout the world that have established and deploy the highest levels of health and safety practices.
By June 2020, London City Airport had already completed an extensive review of its operations for staff and passengers to ensure it was Covid-19 secure. From today, the airport is ready to commence extensive coronavirus on-site testing for all passengers as soon as it achieves the go-ahead from the UK government.
News of the announcement comes as the airport resumes flights to Zürich, the largest city in Switzerland. BA CityFlyer, a wholly owned subsidiary airline of British Airways, has started operating 5 flights per week between the two airports. This will be a welcome news for UK and Swiss passengers. The route was one of the most popular of London City Airport, with over 425K passengers travelling between the UK capital and Zürich.
